Earth Reach touches the lives of youth, hands-on, via the real life magic of nature in the Enchanted Forest. Our 2023 camp will be held July 14-16th. Stay tuned for more info! The camp welcomes all youth, ages 8 to 12, with some wiggle room! Parents are invited to accompany the younger ones. Here, we connect with each other and the Earth we all call home.
Camp in 2022 was centered on Tish McFadden's "Upriver to Morning" story, songs, and teachings. In answer to Takelma elder Agnes Baker Pilgrim's wishes, the curriculum presents Native worldview and wisdom through storytelling, music, theater, movement, and art to build compassion and strength in us all. The story shares lessons from the beautiful lands of Southern Oregon that we call home, as well as Indigenous traditions encircling it.
Camp activities include the groundbreaking "Creative Expression" program taught by Bobbi Kidder, using drama to highlight our strengths and help us through the sometimes-difficult events of our own lives. In addition, we offer group drumming, educational nature walks, creative projects, games, and more!
This is an overnight camp in cabins for those who chose.
2022 Earth Reach was a unique and inclusive opportunity for youth from different backgrounds to connect with one another, have fun together, and learn together.
