Safety is our primary concern for all campers. As community cases go down, protocol for our camps are looser, in following the Oregon Health Authorities guidelines. Prior to acceptance to the camp, potential campers must complete all necessary documents for registration. This form will also be completed by staff. Screening protocols may include taking temperature via forehead thermometer and verbal check-ins with campers prior to and during their time at camp. We recommend any campers with primary symptoms of Covid-19 stay home from the camp. If it is determined upon check-in or at any point during the camp that a camper or staff member is exhibiting symptoms congruent with those of COVID-19, she/he will be immediately separated from the group and will wait in an isolated room or isolated open air area appropriate to the weather conditions. In the case of an ill camper, the child will remain accompanied by one member of staff who will maintain a minimum of 6 feet in distance. The staff member will take all proper precautions to avoid possible transmission of potential virus including wearing a face mask, using hand sanitizer and washing hands where available and appropriate. The camper and designated staff member will remain in isolation until a parent or guardian arrives to collect the child. For overnight camps, stable cohorts of vaccinated and non-vaccinated youth will stay in separate cabins. For additional information, please contact Brenda Patton [email protected]
