EARTHREACH aims to touch the lives of youth via the real life magic of nature in the Enchanted Forest. The camp includes all kids around ages 5 to 12, and parents to accompany younger kids. The camp features age specific learning experiences as well as group activities. Connect with and understand both the Earth we all call home, and each other. In 2022 EARTHREACH is scheduled for July 29th, 30th, and 31st.
Camp this year will be centered on Tish McFaddens "Upriver to Morning" writings. Based on Takilma Elder Agnes Pilgrims teachings, the curriculum teaches Native culture, storytelling and more to build compassion and strength in all of us. The curriculum shares lessons from the beautiful land we call home (Southern Oregon), as well as the mythologies surrounding it. Activities include the groundbreaking "Creative Expression" program taught by Bobbie Kidder, using drama to highlight our strengths and help us through the sometimes difficult events of our own lives. We do group drumming activities, educational nature walks, swimming at a beautiful swimming hole, clay projects, games, and more!
This is an overnight camp in cabins for those who chose.
It's a great opportunity for seemingly different kids, from all different backgrounds to connect with each other, have fun together, and learn together. Below are photos from our 2021 camp.
